Recipes -Bacon and Mushroom with Pasta
Serves 4
Shopping List:
450g (1lb) Sleeda Farm back or streaky
bacon (cut into thin strips)
225g (8oz) Onions diced
450g (1lb) mushrooms sliced
250 ml (1/2pt) cream
350g (12oz) pasta (penne or tagliatelle)
Freshly ground black pepper
Fresh parmesan cheese (Parmiggiano
Reggiano), finely grated.
To Cook:
- Heat your pan.
- Sauté bacon for about 5 minutes. and remove
- Sauté onions and mushrooms for 2 - 3 minutes.
- Add cooked bacon and cream to mushroom mix. Simmer for 4 - 5 minutes.
- Cook pasta and drain.
- Add bacon and mushroom mixture to the hot pasta and season with black pepper and top with parmesan to taste.
- Mix well and serve immediately.
