Recipes -Bacon and Mushroom with Pasta

Shopping List:
450g (1lb) Sleeda Farm back or streaky
bacon (cut into thin strips)
225g (8oz) Onions diced
450g (1lb) mushrooms sliced
250 ml (1/2pt) cream
350g (12oz) pasta (penne or tagliatelle)
Freshly ground black pepper
Fresh parmesan cheese (Parmiggiano
Reggiano), finely grated.

To Cook:

  1. Heat your pan.
  2. Sauté bacon for about 5 minutes. and remove
  3. Sauté onions and mushrooms for 2 - 3 minutes.
  4. Add cooked bacon and cream to mushroom mix. Simmer for 4 - 5 minutes.
  5. Cook pasta and drain.
  6. Add bacon and mushroom mixture to the hot pasta and season with black pepper and top with parmesan to taste.
  7. Mix well and serve immediately.
