Recipes -Lamb Burgers with Spicy Soured Cream Dressing

A BBQ favourite and simple to make - our favourite with minced lamb.

Shopping List:
450g (1 lb) Sleeda Premium
minced lamb*
1 tablespoon. oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon. Curry paste
1 tablespoon. Scallions, chopped
Salt and black pepper
Soured Cream Dressing:
125ml (1/4pt) soured cream
1 tablespoon. curry paste
Seasoning
1-2 tablespoon. chopped scallions
Pinch of sugar
Dash of white wine vinegar

*If you don’t see minced lamb on
display, ask one of our team of
butchers and they will mince to order.

To prepare:

  1. Place the lamb in a large bowl.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the onions.
  3. Add the curry paste, cookfor a minute or two and allow to cool.
  4. Mix the minced lamb, scallions, seasoning and curry mixture.
  5. Shape into 4 lamb burgers.

To Cook:

  1. Heat a pan, grill or barbecue.
  2. Cook the lamb burgers for five to six minutes on each side.
  3. Meanwhile, mix the soured cream with the curry paste, seasoning, scallions, sugar and vinegar. Taste
    for seasoning.
  4. Serve the lamb burgers, on a burger bun, with a spoonful of the dressing, salad and some finely chopped red onion and fresh chilli.
